Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal (mCDR)

The Community Leaders and mCDR (CLaM) Project

What is the CLaM project?

The Community Leaders and mCDR (CLaM) project will bring together coastal community leaders to learn about mCDR and discuss what it could mean for Alaska.

We are hosting local outreach events and conversations in Kodiak and Cordova this fall and winter. These workshops are meant to build understanding, gather input, and support informed decision-making from within the region. Participants will help identify what’s at stake, how communities would like to be involved, and what policy guidance should be developed for the future. This is a way to prepare for what may come next.

How do I get involved?

CLaM will share updates and announcements to join community outreach events, workshops, and conversations. If your livelihood depends on the water and you live in the Prince William Sound or Kodiak regions, we hope you will add your voice to this conversation.

Upcoming Workshops:

  • Kodiak: Dec 12
  • Alaska Forum on the Environment: Feb (TBA)
